TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR FACILITIES RENTALS

(Effective January 1, 2000)

1. Rental of church facilities shall be arranged through the Church Office at the following telephone number, 508-349-6877, or fax number 508-349-7732. The Office may refer applications to the Board of Trustees for a final decision.

2. The maximum capacity for the Sanctuary (upstairs) is 370 persons, with an addition 50 persons in the balcony. For Fellowship Hall (downstairs) is 170 persons.

3. Approval to use a portion of the facilities does not imply permission to use any other portion of the facilities or equipment.

4. Persons applying for the use of the organ, or piano state their competency at the time of application and must be specifically approved for the usage of the instruments.

5. The Renter shall not assign or sublet any rights under this rental.

6. The Renter agrees to accept, and keep, all equipment and premises as is. Renter waives any and all claims against the First Congregational Church and its members, officers, trustees and agents for any injury, accident, illness, expense or damage of any kind which may occur as a result of using the facilities. Any costs incurred due to damages to the facility, grounds or equipment shall be the responsibility of the Renter.

7. The Renter shall have in effect a satisfactory insurance policy or binder, insuring the Renter and the Church, in an amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000) per claim, against all claims, liabilities and expenses, including those caused or contributed to the condition of the facility. Upon request, the Renter will make available a certificate of such policy or binder to the Church. Only the Board of Trustees may waive any requirements for insurance.

8. Use of the building must end at 11:30 PM.

9. The Renter shall not permit smoking, consumption of alcoholic beverages or use of controlled substances on the premises. The Renter shall comply with all statutes, ordinances and requirements of local, state and federal authorities.

10. The Renter shall comply with all safety procedures of the Church. In the event of an emergency, the Renter shall contact the local fire or police department � dial 911 and then contact a Church official as posted in the kitchen.
