We look forward to seeing you there, starting at 10am!

INTERFAITH THANKSGIVING SERVICE

The Nauset Interfaith Association invites you to attend our 2026 Thanksgiving Interfaith Service on Sunday, November 22nd at 2pm at St. Peter the Apostle, 11 Prince St, Provincetown, MA. Our theme this year is “Our Daily Bread” and together we will share in praise, prayer and reflection from our many member faith traditions. A free will offering to support Lower Cape Outreach Council will be taken. Refreshments and fellowship to follow. We look forward to seeing you there!

CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR

On Saturday December 5th, starting at 10am, First Congregational will be holding our annual Christmas Fair. Come shop for holiday treasures made with love by church members and local vendors, support local non-profits, stock up on baked goods at our cookie walk, and enjoy delicious treats at our cafe. If you are interested in helping out at the fair, baking cookies, or volunteering at the cafe, please speak to Louise Kemprecos or Pastor Jon.

CHRISTMAS COLLECTION

For many years now, First Congregational has held our annual “White Gift” collection to support groups like the Lower Cape Outreach Council. In the years that they have been distributing toys to families during the holiday season, they have adopted their model. Rather than presenting parents with gifts that have already been wrapped, they now provide a “shopping” model, where parents can select toys that their children will cherish and enjoy. Therefore, rather than wrapping our gifts in white tissue paper, we are now asking folks to bring their items to church in a reusable gift bag (if desired). That way, the gift bags can then also be given to the parents to be used in their Christmas celebrations. The final date for our collection will be Sunday December 6th. Below, please find a list of some of the most requested items. Thank you for your generosity, and for helping families in our community celebrate this blessed season.

ADVENT STUDY GROUP

Advent is not only the perfect time to read the story of the birth of Jesus; it’s also a great time to dive deeper into the biblical texts that surround the event. In “Light of the World: A Beginner’s Guide to Advent”, author, professor, and biblical scholar Amy Jill-Levine shows how the Gospel narratives connect to the Old Testament; highlights the role of women in first-century Jewish culture; and emphasizes the importance of Mary’s visitation, the census, the stable, the star of Bethlehem, and the flight to Egypt. This 4-week series will begin on Wednesday, December 2nd at 12:30. Please speak to Pastor Jon or the Church Office, if you are interested in participating.
